DAME MOORE | THE COLOR OF CARE

October 16, 2026 - December 19, 2026
Context Projects, in collaboration with DCDG Co, is proud to present ‘The Color of Care’ — a solo presentation of works by Dame Moore — on view October 16th through December 19th, 2026.

Curated by Delaney George, ‘The Color of Care’ challenges the assumption that strength and softness exist in opposition. Through bold planes of color and delicate mark making, Moore’s work insists that tenderness is not the absence of strength, but one of its most profound expressions. In her practice, Dame Moore moves between observation and imagination, creating figures that function less as representations of specific individuals but rather as embodiments of emotional truths. In this collection of work lies reflection and offering, an exploration of care as both a personal and collective force; centering the emotional architectures that sustain us: family, community, tenderness, spirituality, and self possession.

Dame Moore, aka Cheyanne Moore, is a self-taught Los Angeles–based artist whose practice is rooted in identity, memory, and cultural expression. Growing up, Moore experienced art through the people, objects, and bold African sculptures that surrounded her, shaping her understanding of storytelling through form and imagery.

Her work centers on expressive figures often adorned with jazz-inspired elements and floral motifs surrounding the eyes— symbols of rhythm, emotion, and transformation. Through her signature figures, Moore explores the harmony between beauty and imperfection, creating vibrant narratives that celebrate the complexity and resilience of the human spirit.
